Founding Field CTO / Solutions Architect

Help enterprise leaders understand where AI agents need explicit authority, durable evidence, and signer-of-record controls before they can safely operate in production.

Why this role matters

AI agents are moving from assistants to operators. They are beginning to propose code, touch infrastructure, request credentials, move data, and coordinate work across enterprise systems.

For serious organizations, the question is not whether agents will be useful. The question is who has authority to let them act, how that authority is recorded, and whether the evidence survives audit, incident review, and executive scrutiny.

The Field CTO / Solutions Architect helps make that future legible to enterprise buyers. This role turns abstract AI governance risk into concrete authority patterns that technical and non-technical leaders can understand.

What you will shape

  • How enterprise teams reason about agent authority, signer boundaries, and receipt-backed approval.
  • The technical narrative for Permission Protocol across CTO, CISO, CCO, CFO, legal, and platform teams.
  • Reference architectures for where external authorization belongs in agentic workflows.
  • Buyer conversations that connect agent execution risk to deploys, code changes, credentials, data mutations, and regulated workflows.
  • Feedback loops between field discovery and product direction.

What strong candidates bring

  • Experience explaining complex systems to executives without flattening important technical detail.
  • Strong architecture judgment across cloud, CI/CD, identity, security, compliance, or enterprise platforms.
  • Comfort mapping messy real-world workflows into clear control surfaces.
  • Ability to earn trust in rooms with technical, compliance, legal, and business stakeholders.
  • Clear writing and crisp verbal communication.

What to send

  • A LinkedIn profile, resume, portfolio, or relevant work sample.
  • Three to five lines on the background that maps you to this role area.
  • A short note on where you think agent authority, governance, or enterprise adoption is going.

How we work

  • We value precision over hype.
  • We sell the consequence and control surface, not vague AI transformation.
  • We prefer primitives that can become infrastructure.
  • We expect strong opinions, but not ego-driven certainty.

This role is strongest for people who want

  • Category-building work across product, field discovery, and enterprise architecture.
  • High-trust conversations where the control boundary matters more than demo polish.
  • Early market language work where precision, judgment, and customer learning compound quickly.
